I have always loved trying to capture the hummingbird. Sometimes you get lucky. It’s all about being in the right place at the right time. This was at a backyard wedding ceremony some time ago. I have never really done anything with them so why not post em on the blog!

This was my second year on the Mexico mission with Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church. 241 people from the church go for a week every spring break to build houses for the homeless. I am fortunate enough to be on the media team and be part of this unforgettable experience. I can’t begin to explain the overwhelming love we feel for each other and the people we have at home. We also fall in love with the locals we work with and help. This year we faced more challenges than we have in the past, hot weather, excruciating allergies and difficult work sites. With all the challenges we faced, nothing was more rewarding than handing over the keys of the homes to the new home owners. We then reflect in our groups on our experiences and feelings about the process. Here is a link to a video from last years trip. The video was put together by my close friends, brothers and colleagues Jonathan Metcalf (of Metmedia and Video) and John Rickets Brother of one of our beloved leaders Dave Rickets
Here is also a bigger media piece from last year put togther my myself.
